(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Oklahoma Blood Institute is now offering a way for blood donors to monitor certain health indicators online.
The institute's Web site gives the donors access to the results of certain blood tests performed on the donated blood dating back to 1998.
Among the indicators available are cholesterol levels, blood type, and a test that identifies potential liver problems.
Donated blood is also tested for several diseases, including H-I-V. The results of those tests are to be available online in the future.
