(Oklahoma City) -- Last week's storms brought Sheila and Gary McElmurry an early addition to their family.

A tornado damaged their Johnston County mobile home, ripping half of Sheila's left ear and causing her to give birth to a son two months ahead of schedule.

Matthew Wyatt McElmurry was born by emergency Caesarean section and was in intensive care in Children's Hospital of Oklahoma.

The baby is the couple's first child, although they have four other children from previous relationships.

Gary, a construction worker, has a dislocated shoulder. He said the tornado lifted their mobile home twice, then slammed it down.

Gary found Sheila face down in a puddle of water. Their other children weren't home that night.

The family has no property or medical insurance. The couple set up two funds in the newborn's name at American Bank of Wagoner and Banc First of Tishomingo.
