The Tulsa City-County Health Department has a warning about fresh chicken that was sold at some local Albertson's stores.

Health inspectors say they found nearly 300 pounds of spoiled chicken breasts and tenders at the 15th and Lewis store. A customer who'd bought chicken fresh from the butcher block reported it after noticing a bad odor. Inspectors found more of the bad meat at other Albertson's stores and at the local warehouse.

The health department says all of the spoiled chicken has been destroyed and that Albertson's has cooperated fully. The department also says there is very little risk that the meat will make anyone sick.

If you bought fresh chicken, not the prepackaged kind, from a local Albertson's in the past couple of days, you're urged to call the store.
