(Augusta, Georgia-AP) -- An Oklahoma golfer is among the leaders after the first round of the Masters.

Scott Verplank shot a 3-under-par 69 yesterday and is among a group of four players who are four strokes behind leader Chris DiMarco.

It's an encouraging start for Verplank. He's played in the Masters five other times and failed to make the cut every time.
