(Tulsa-AP) -- A Tulsa-based Christian band is in the running for two gospel music awards despite rape and other charges against a band member.

Ja'Marc Davis of the band Raze is due in court today in Tulsa on charges of rape, forcible sodomy and lewd molestation with an underage girl.

Davis was arrested following a concert in Tulsa on March First and remains in the Tulsa Jail in lieu of 550-thousand dollars bond.

Raze is nominated for two Dove Awards, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.

Voting for the Dove Awards ended before Davis' arrest. The president of the Gospel Music Association says if Raze wins, the band will be given the awards.
