The Tulsa Police Department is opening doors to some valuable crime information.

T-P-D has placed its crime database on the Internet - and it displays serious crimes sorted by location.

Web Surfers can type in an address and find nearby crimes they might not have heard about. People looking to move can check out crimes in their new neighborhood.
The website shows crimes by location - but doesn't list suspects, and only lists crimes in the last year. It's the most detailed and updated listing of crimes ever available to the public in Tulsa.

Sgt Wayne Allen, Tulsa Police Department: "They should know where these crimes are being committed, they should know the cars are being stolen from, where auto burglaries and grand larcenies are and so forth, so they can be fully tuned in with what's happening inside the city.

KOTV's sister station, KWTV, offers a similar service that tracks crimes in the Oklahoma City area. Click here to visit KWTV's Crime Tracker.
