(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The room where Timothy McVeigh is scheduled to die isn't big enough to fit all the people who want to watch the execution.
Hundreds of victims and family members of those killed in the Oklahoma City bombing have told the government they want to watch McVeigh die.
McVeigh is scheduled to die by lethal injection on May 16th in Indiana.
One woman whose young daughter and in-laws died in the bombing says seeing the execution in person will help her realize "that this is over."
Another woman whose daughter died in the blast says half-seriously that the government should hold the execution in the middle of an Oklahoma field.
The demand has been so big that the U-S Bureau of Prisons is considering showing the execution on closed-circuit television.
Several states have shown executions in a similar way to small groups of people near the execution site. But the federal government has never done it.
