(Bartlesville-AP) -- A Washington County judge has approved an order for D-N-A testing on evidence in a ten-year-old Bartlesville murder.

The motion for convicted killer Stephen Allen asks for tests on a piece of glass, a blouse, fingernails and a contact lens. Allen was convicted of the June 1990 bludgeoning death of his wife, Sandra Jo Allen, in a crime that stunned the community.

Sandra Allen was found brutally murdered in her home in an upscale neighborhood.

Stephen Allen was a Phillips Petroleum accountant and active church member before his conviction.

District Attorney Rick Esser calls the decision allowing the D-N-A testing a waste of time.
