(Durham-AP) -- Duke University students don't have to pay cash to see tonight's basketball game between the Blue Devils and archrival North Carolina, but they are paying for the privilege with their health.
Amid the cheers for Jason Williams and jeers for Joseph Forte (for-TAY'), the residents of Krzyzewskiville (shuh-SHEF'-skee-vihl) will likely be sneezing, wheezing, hacking and coughing once they get inside Cameron Indoor Stadium. About a thousand students have been camping out for nearly a month in the temporary tent city named for the men's head coach with hopes of seeing tonight's game. It's taken a toll.
A freshman from Asheville says she relied on vitamins, but she still came down with a sore throat and runny nose. Another freshman from Seattle says he and everyone in his tent is sick.
