(Del City-AP) -- A Del City company is completing work today on 500 orange and black bands that will be worn by Big 12 Conference basketball teams. The bands are the Oklahoma State school colors and commemorate the two Cowboy players and others killed in an airplane crash.
Midwest Trophy Manufacturing is donating the bands that are black with an orange Big 12 logo embroidered in the middle. The bands will fasten to the shoulder strap of a basketball jersey.
Midwest Trophy marketing manager Donna Lamprecht says the bands will be worn by members of all basketball teams in the conference and all O-S-U sports teams.
