Michael Vick already has something in common with Super Bowl-winning quarterback Trent Dilfer: the same agent.

Vick, the flashy Virginia Tech quarterback who could be the first player chosen in the NFL draft, hired Octagon on Wednesday to handle his contract negotiations and all other business matters.

Last week, Vick fired his first agent, Joel Enterprises of Richmond, Va., saying he felt he had rushed his decision.

Octagon's football division also represents Dilfer of the Baltimore Ravens, quarterback Aaron Brooks of the New Orleans Saints and former NFL stars John Elway and Ronnie Lott.

Andre Colona and Mike Sullivan will handle contract talks for Vick.

``I have since re-evaluated what would be in my best interests; in terms of opportunities on and off the field,'' Vick said in a statement released by Octagon, based in Washington. ``I am really comfortable with Andre and Octagon and their expert handling of world-class athletes.''

Vick, who led the Hokies to consecutive 11-1 records, could command a contract worth between $50 million and $60 million if he is selected No. 1 in the April draft.

Other athletes with Octagon include: Sergei Fedorov of the Detroit Red Wings, tennis players Martina Hingis and Martina Hingis, golfers Justin Leonard and Davis Love III and NBA players David Robinson and Jerry Stackhouse.
