(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Oklahoma Corporation Commission is considering a monthly review of natural gas prices that utilities "pass through" to customers.
Commission Vice Chair Denise Bode says the commission currently monitors the cost of gas annually. At Bode's request, commissioners are expected to vote on Monday on whether to begin spending more time looking at the gas prices each month.
State law permits the utilities to pass through only the cost they pay for gas with no profit added to the price.
Bode says the commission wants to do all it can to minimize the cost of gas for consumers.
