(Washington-AP) -- Tax cuts remain at the top of the wish list for members of the Oklahoma congressional delegation.
Oklahoma lawmakers believe having President-elect Bush in the White House gives them their best chance in years pass tax cuts.
Representatives Steve Largent and Wes Watkins both believe a repeal of the estate tax and eliminating the so-called marriage penalty have good chances of passing this year.
Senator Don Nickles is also hoping an across-the-board tax cut will be considered.
Missing from the priority of many congressmen is energy issues.
During the 1990's, Oklahoma's delegation routinely introduced bills to help the state's oil industry.
A congressional aide says the congressmen may be waiting for the Bush administration to develop its own energy policy.
