(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Reverend Jesse Jackson plans a return trip to Oklahoma to join those protesting executions.

Jackson is also trying to convince Governor Keating to issue a moratorium on executions, calling it a blood bath that should be stopped before it begins.

Keating is a strong supporter of capital punishment and has stood his ground.

Jackson's return to the state is also to focus on the scheduled Thursday execution of Wanda Jean Allen.

The civil rights leader says Allen's execution would be a crime because of her mental deficiencies and an inadequate defense during her trial.

Jackson was in Oklahoma last week to speak at an anti-death penalty rally at an Oklahoma City church and to join a death penalty protest march.
