(Tulsa-AP) -- A man who integrated Tulsa's oldest high school in 1957 is the district's newest school board member.
Louie Moore was one of the first four black students to attend Central High School 43 years ago. Since then, he's served Tulsa as a police officer, a Public Works Department employee and now a member of the school board.
Only white and American Indian students were allowed to attend Central until 1957.
Moore says he was generally accepted there and had no bad experiences.
He was recently appointed to the school board to fill a vacant seat.
