LOS ANGELES (AP) — Teller, the silent half of the Penn & Teller magic duo, has written a loving memoir about his two quirky and devoted parents.
Teller, 52, told the Los Angeles Times that his ``When I'm Dead All This Will Be Yours'' was inspired by his father's cartoons.
Joe Teller, 87, drew 60 cartoons in 1939 hoping to sell them to the Philadelphia Inquirer. After an old portfolio filled with the cartoons surfaced, memories began to flow.
``I began to realize (my parents) talk differently from other people,'' Teller said. ``I noticed their strange way of making pancakes on Sunday where my father drizzles batter on a griddle to make an abstract painting and gives it to my mother to interpret. These are old artists whose idea of art is very bred in the bone.''
The book includes the 60 cartoons and eight pages of Joe Teller's watercolors.
