BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Center Darren Fenn, the leading scorer last season for Canisius, will be out 4-6 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
The senior, injured during the Golden Griffins' 99-71 loss Tuesday at Notre Dame, underwent surgery Thursday.
``We're thankful that the injury wasn't even more severe, but we're obviously upset over the loss of Darren for the next few weeks,'' said head coach Mike MacDonald. ``It's a shame that it happened during his senior season.''
Fenn is averaging 14.4 points and 7.1 rebounds the 5-3 Golden Griffins. Fenn led Canisius with 17.6 points and 10.5 rebounds per game last season.
