WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — Purdue backup running back Steve Ennis will not play in the Rose Bowl after he was suspended indefinitely for ``conduct detrimental to the squad.''
The announcement was made Friday in a news release issued by the school.
Ennis, a 6-foot, 200-pound sophomore from Flower Mound, Texas, had 208 yards and eight touchdowns for No. 14 Purdue (8-3), which is making its first Rose Bowl appearance since 1967. Ennis was used mainly on short yardage situations.
