BOSTON (AP) — Boston College running back William Green and defensive back D.J. Sutton were suspended for unspecified rule violations and will not play in the Aloha Bowl against Arizona State.
Coach Tom O'Brien announced the penalties Tuesday. A spokesman for the athletic department said no further information was available.
Green, a sophomore, was the school's leading rusher this season with 1,164 yards and 14 touchdowns on 187 carries. He will return to the team after the Dec. 25 game.
Sutton, a senior, will not be back.
