(Tulsa-AP) -- Pooh Davis scored a team-high 16 points to lead Northwestern Louisiana State past Oral Roberts 85-to-78 tonight.
Davis snapped a 72-to-72 tie. Then a basket by Will Burks increased the Demons' lead to 76-to-72 with one minute and 30 seconds left. The 3-and-2 Demons then sank nine consecutive free throws to clinch the victory.
O-R-U's Markius Barnes scored 20 of his game-high 27 points after intermission. He ignited O-R-U's comeback from a 65-to-53 deficit midway through the second half.
The Golden Eagles used a 7-and-0h run to tie the game 72-to-72 with two minutes and 23 seconds remaining.
But Northwestern State completed a two-game season series sweep over 3-and-6 Oral Roberts (3-6).
