If you're an Oklahoma Natural Gas customer, you probably received a blue slip in last month's statement with information about their rate adjustment plan. This is different than their budget payment plan. We called O-N-G to find out more. Since 1995, the company has automatically adjusted its rates during the winter and summer months.
The way it works is if the winter is abnormally warm, you could end up paying a little more. The same could happen if the summers are moderate. The plan is optional, and is regulated by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
If you don't want to participate in the plan, call O-N-G at 834-8000. If you have a question for Ask Consumer Six, call our tip line at 732-6111 or send an e-mail to dwhite@kotv.com.
