(Arlington-AP) -- A Springfield man faces fraud charges for allegedly failing to deliver goods he sold on an online auction. Trung Nguyen allegedly accepted more than 15-thousand dollars from at least eight people for items he offered at auction on a Yahoo Web site.
Detectives from Arlington's financial crimes unit are still looking for additional victims. Police have confiscated a computer Nguyen used on his job as a system's analyst for a Crystal City defense firm. He allegedly offered the bids from that location.
Police say he offered several laptop computers and a Rolex watch at auction. Buyers in the United States and at least four foreign countries say they sent money orders to a post office box but never received any merchandise.
The allegations surfaced after Arlington authorities were notified by the National White Collar Crime Center which has a specialized division committed to Internet fraud schemes.
