(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A state appeals court has overturned the conviction of a former Muskogee High School football coach.
The Court of Criminal Appeals voted three-to-two to overturn Ron Freeman's conviction on charges that he forced a player to pay for free meals. The court found there was insufficient evidence to support the misdemeanor conviction.
Freeman was accused of taking money from locker room soda machines, and charging players one-dollar for meals that were paid for by team boosters.
