(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says quarterback Josh Heupel's (HY'-pulz) elbow is fine in spite of occasional fluid build-up.

Stoops says Heupel's left elbow is slightly inflamed and has been drained several times, but has not hampered his performance on the field.

The elbow began filling with fluid after Heupel was hit there during a game earlier this season.

Stoops says the senior has practiced every day and feels strong and ready to go.
