MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Actress Cybill Shepherd fled her home and called the fire department after seeing smoke in her attic. No one was harmed.

Shepherd, host of the new talk show ``Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus,'' said a bedroom fireplace may have caused the Saturday incident, but officials were still investigating. The fire was quickly brought under control.

The former ``Moonlighting'' star, a Memphis native, started building the home in 1991. She filed a lawsuit in 1995 alleging water leaks and improperly installed electrical wiring. She settled out of court with some of the defendants.
