ALVA, Okla. (AP) _ Top-ranked Northwestern Oklahoma will play host to No. 5 MidAmerica Nazarene in the second round of the NAIA football playoffs.
The game Saturday will be at 1 p.m.
Northwestern and MidAmerica have met once, in the 1998 Wheat Bowl. Northwestern won, 40-7.
``MidAmerica is a real good football team and Mike Redwine is one of the best coaches in the NAIA,'' Rangers coach Garin Higgins said Sunday. ``They've got much better talent than when we played them in 1998. It should be our greatest challenge yet.''
The Rangers (11-0) extended their winning streak to 29 games by beating Nebraska Wesleyan 40-13 in the first round of the playoffs Saturday. Northwestern only led 20-13 at halftime, but held Nebraska Wesleyan to 57 yards in the second half.
MidAmerica Nazarene, located in Kansas, is 10-1 after beating Azusa Pacific, 27-21.
