(Norman, Oklahoma-AP) -- La Salle didn't have enough guns to cope with Number 21 Oklahoma's tough defense, although one was almost enough.
La Salle's Rasual Butler made seven second-half three-pointers last night, but Oklahoma pulled away in the final seven minutes and beat the Explorers 89-to-72 in the Sooner Invitational championship.
Butler finished with 33 points and Victor Thomas had 23, but no other Explorer took more than two shots or scored more than five points.
Oklahoma coach Kelvin Sampson says there were four N-B-A scouts at the game, all there to see Butler and Thomas.
But Oklahoma had six players in double figures, led by J-R Raymond's 16 points, and outrebounded La Salle 38-to-22
Oklahoma led by as many as 20 in the first half but saw La Salle (1-1) make it a game in the second half.
