Missing McAlester girl found in Dallas

(McAlester-AP) -- Police in McAlester say a girl who was reported missing in October has been found in Dallas, Texas.

Detective Larry Butler says Britnney Harris is now with family members in Denver, Colorado.

Harris was last seen at the McAlester bus station in late October and is believed to have been trying to get to Denver at the time.

Butler says the girl was found in Dallas after she telephoned a friend in Denver. The friend then convinced Harris to talk to a family member who lived nearby.

Butler says family members in Colorado then contacted Dallas police.
