TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A federal judge has sentenced a Tulsa teen-ager to 32 years in federal prison for carrying a firearm during two robberies.

Thomas Lynn Weaver, 19, also was ordered Thursday to serve three years of post-custody supervised release for carrying a weapon during the Dec. 4 robbery of a gasoline station and the Jan. 3 robbery of a convenience store.

U.S. Chief District Judge Terry Kern also ordered Weaver -- who pleaded guilty April 5 -- to pay $200 in court costs and $290 in restitution to the robbery victims. Weaver will pay the restitution in conjunction with co-defendant Nathaniel Paul Helm.

Helm, then 18, was sentenced May 30 to 32 years in prison and three years of supervised release for his role in the convenience store robbery and his part in the gasoline station heist. Helm, who was also ordered to pay $390 in financial penalties, pleaded guilty Feb. 28.

Kenan Leggett, 20, was sentenced June 13 to 38 months in prison for acting as the getaway driver during the convenience store robbery. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $100 in court costs.

All three defendants were ordered to undergo substance abuse counseling in prison.

Prosecutors charged the trio under the Hobbs Act, which allows federal jurisdiction when a business that is engaged in interstate commerce is robbed.
