(Stilwell-AP) -- Adair County District Attorney Diane Barker Harrold says she is still investigating alleged grade-tampering by the Stilwell High School principal and his wife.
Harrold's mother is a member of the district's board of directors. She says she would ask the Attorney General's Office to appoint an independent council if she believed she couldn't continue.
Harrold has assigned two investigators to look into possible criminal charges against Principal Leon Hill and his wife, Donna. Donna Hill is a counselor at the school.
The school board is to hear a final report on the grade-tampering allegations tonight from a fact-finding committee.
Harrold says she'll address the board as well and tell members the investigation is still under way and that no conclusions have been made.
