(Irving, Texas-AP) -- One of the first names to emerge as a candidate for Oklahoma State head football coaching job is that of Dallas Cowboys assistant Les Miles.
Miles is the Dallas tight end coach, and is a former O-S-U offensive coordinator.
Miles says he's honored and that the Oklahoma State job is attractive, but says he has not been contacted about replacing Bob Simmons.
Simmons announced on Monday that he is resigning at the end of the season.
Also mentioned as a candidate is former Oklahoma State quarterback and assistant coach Mike Gundy.
Gundy says he's very interested in the job and wants to be in Oklahoma.
