(Tulsa-AP) -- A Broken Arrow man is getting nearly three-and-a-half (M) million dollars from his former employer, Liberty Mutual Insurance.
A jury found Liberty Mutual guilty of having reckless disregard for David C. Wiesner's rights.
Wiesner sued Liberty Mutual for withholding a 15-thousand dollar commission from an account he landed. The lawsuit says Liberty Mutual officials initially agreed to pay him the amount but then changed their minds.
Wiesner sued for the commission payment and was then fired. He later added his firing to the lawsuit.
Wiesner was awarded one-point-five (M) million dollars in punitive damages, one-point-five (M) million for mental anguish and more than 430-thousand dollars for lost future earnings and compensatory damages.
