LOS ANGELES (AP) â€” Parenthood is next on the agenda for country music sweethearts Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black: Their first child is due in early May.

``There's going to be a lot more sweetness around our house next year,'' the couple said Monday.

Black, 38, and his singer-actress-wife, 44, have been married nine years. They won the vocal event of the year trophy at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards for their duet ``When I Said I Do.''

Hartman Black starred in the nighttime soap series ``Knots Landing'' from 1979 to 1993.
