DALLAS (AP) _ The Dallas Mavericks announced Tuesday they have acquired forward Loy Vaught from Detroit, in exchange for guards Dana Barros and Ansu Sesay.
Barros was acquired by the Mavericks from Boston in an August trade in which the team also acquired Howard Eisley from Utah and Bill Curley from Golden State.
Vaught has averaged 10.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game in 638 career games. He spent eight years of his NBA career with the Los Angeles Clippers and played the last two seasons with the Pistons, after signing with them as a free agent in January 1999.
Vaught also played college basketball at Michigan where he helped lead the Wolverines to the national championship in 1989. He was originally drafted by the Clippers with the 13th overall pick in the 1990 NBA draft.
