(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma's football team faces its first true road test this week when it travels to Kansas State.

O-U struggled on the road a year ago. The Sooners lost games at Notre Dame, Colorado and Texas Tech.

Coach Bob Stoops says he considers last week's game against Texas a road game because the Longhorns had just as many fans as O-U and had their band as well.

Stoops says the Sooners will take steps to prepare for the noise they'll face in Manhattan, Kansas this week.

And he says he expects his team to play well on Saturday.
