(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The former coach of the Tulsa Talons has been hired as an assistant coach and line coach for the Oklahoma Wranglers of the Arena Football League.

Jon Norris led the Tulsa Talons to a third-place finish in the arenafootball-two National Conference and into the playoffs last season.

He coached for three years at Panhandle State University before joining Tulsa.

He played for the Denver Dynamite -- which won the first Arena Football League title in 1987. He also played with the Dynamite in 1990 and 1991 and with the Sacramento Attack in 1992.
