(Dallas-AP) -- An Oklahoma State cross country runner is being honored by the Big 12 Conference this week.

David ``Junior'' Vasquez has been named the conference's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this season -- the only runner in the Big 12 to receive such an honor.

Saturday, Vasquez led O-S-U to a third-place finish at the 64th Annual Cowboy Jamboree.

The Rolla, Kansas, native finished seventh on the Eight-K course with a time of 24 minutes, 32 seconds.

On September 19th, Vasquez was named the Big 12 Runner of the Week after winning the Princeton Invitational
