People with Ponca City ties to return for summit

PONCA CITY, Okla. (AP) -- Television reporter Mike Boettcher and Sen. Don Nickles are among about 50 people with Ponca City ties returning for a summit Friday and Saturday designed to reconnect prominent Americans with the community.

People are expected to travel from as far away as Honolulu, Washington, D.C., and New York City for the summit, which was organized by a citizens' group to channel growth opportunities to Ponca City.

Also expected to attend are Gov. Frank Keating, Williams chief executive officer Keith Bailey and Don Puddy, who retired from NASA after years as the voice of Houston's Mission Control.
