Norman-AP-- Arkansas State may be the underdog in tomorrow's matchup with the Sooners, but the team is not without weapons.

Junior tailback Jonathan Adams is Arkansas State's first Parade All-American and easily the most heralded recruit in school history.

At six feet and 217 pounds, his combination of power and speed is one of the best the Sooners will see this season.

Arkansas State coach Joe Hollis says Adams could play at Ohio State or Georgia. Hollis was an assistant at both schools and says Adams could carry the ball 25 or 30 times tomorrow.

So, how did he end up at Arkansas State? The Arkansas native says it was close to home and to his son. And after injuries slowed him the last couple years, Adams says he's ready to meet everyone's expectations this season.
