Broken Arrow man charged with child porn, sexual abuse

(Wagoner-AP) -- Wagoner County prosecutors have charged a Broken Arrow man with child pornography and sexual abuse for allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old girl and taking obscene photos.

Forty-nine-year-old John David Benson has been charged with two counts of sexual battery and one count of making a lewd proposal to a child.

Broken Arrow police arrested Benson last month on traffic charges. The girl allegedly was in the truck when police stopped it.

Officers searching the truck allegedly found 17 photographs of the girl nude and engaged in sexual acts.

Court records indicate the girl told police Benson is a relative who was baby-sitting her when he suggested she pose for nude photos.
