Judge refuses to put Nader on ballot

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- U.S. District Judge David Russell has denied a bid to force the state Election Board to put Ralph Nader's name on Oklahoma's presidential ballot.

Green Party volunteers fell 105 votes short by the July 17 deadline of having enough signatures on a petition to have Rader's name listed.

Campaign workers testified they were prevented by police from petitioning the public at some public locations.

Russell held Wednesday that "some anecdotal evidence of harassment" was not sufficient to warrant the relief sought by the Green Party.
