(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Members of the 45th Infantry of the Oklahoma National Guard have marched to the state Capitol steps today for a send off from Governor Keating.

The audience gathered for the event includes parents, spouses and children of the soldiers being sent for a peacekeeping mission in Bosnia.

The soldiers have been training since June 12th for the mission.

Betty Kilhoffer is the wife of Sergeant Dennis Kilhoffer, who is a member of the 45th. Betty Kilhoffer says it's already been a long separation. She says she can only look forward to the 45th's return.

A spokesman says between 160 and 170 soldiers will leave tonight for Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. They will leave for Bosnia within the next two weeks and will serve a six-month rotation.
