(McAlester-AP) -- An inmate serving a lifetime prison sentence is recovering from stab wounds he received this week at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary.

Prison spokeswoman Lee Mann says Juan Segura was stabbed more than once in an argument with two other inmates Tuesday.

Mann says officials don't know what the argument was about but the other prisoners are being questioned.

She said guards recovered a sharpened piece of metal -- called a shank.

The 20-year-old Segura is recovering in a Tulsa hospital.

Segura was sentenced to life without parole for the June 1999 death of Jeremy Brogna. Brogna was found dead in his Tulsa mobile home.
