VINITA, Okla. (AP) -- The owner of a burned-out mobile home has been sentenced to Michael Abernathy, 48, had pleaded no contest to murder and arson charges in May. He was sentenced Wednesday in Craig County District Court. Abernathy was charged in the deaths of Helen Shamblin, 44, and Richard Jay, 33. Their bodies were found in the trailer in a rural area of the county. Both had died of multiple gunshot wounds. Abernathy was arrested in Oklahoma City three days later after an accidental fire that left him injured and a friend dead.
