HENRYETTA, Okla. (AP) -- Daniel Lee Potter's car sat stuck in a farmer's field June 22 and the Arizona man who was on his way to North Carolina to see if he might be a kidney donor for his sister hasn't been found. "It's just a mystery," FBI agent Gary Johnson said Tuesday. The FBI is helping the McIntosh County sheriff's office search fo rPotter, 50, of Prescott. "There's no evidence of any foul play," Johnson said. Johnson said Potter's car was stuck in the field. "We do not know where he is."
Family members reported Potter missing June 22, the same day a farmer checking on his cattle discovered the man's hatchback and pop-up travel trailer in a field near the Tiger Mountain rest stop east of Henryetta. Authorities said the man's belongings seemed to be intact. Potter was driving to New Bern, N.C., to see if he might be a kidney donor for his sister, who is awaiting a transplant.
