(Tulsa-AP) -- A West Virginian has been sentenced to five years in prison for traveling to Tulsa to have sex with a 14-year-old girl he met on the Internet.

Twenty-one-year-old Donald Bernard Sanford was sentenced in federal court yesterday on two complaints of traveling across state lines to have sex with a minor. He had pleaded guilty in March, admitting he had traveled twice to Oklahoma to see the teen-ager.

The federal prison term is expected to run concurrent with a state sentence expected next week. Sanford pleaded guilty to a state charge of second-degree rape as part of a plea agreement in the case.

In a separate case, 66-year-old Roy Watson Yonce was sentenced to five years probation for using the computer to send offensive communication over the Internet to an underage Ohio girl. Yonce, an Iowan, was living in Owasso at the time.
