(Ames, Iowa-AP) -- Former Iowa State forward Alyssa Shriver says she will transfer to Tulsa.
The six-foot-two Shriver announced in April she was leaving the Iowa State women's basketball team.
Iowa State coach Bill Fennelly says he thinks Tulsa will be a good fit for Shriver. And he says it's close to home for Shriver who is from Salina, Kansas.
Shriver played little during her two seasons at Iowa State, appearing in only 14 of the Cyclones' 33 games last season.
Tulsa reinstated its women's basketball program five years ago. The Hurricane went 14-and-15 last season and finished fourth in the Western Athletic Conference at 9-and-5.
Shriver also visited Creighton of the Missouri Valley Conference.
