(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa athletic director Judy MacLeod brought her short list of less than ten names to Tulsa President Bob Lawless and university trustees Sunday.

TU Sports Information Director Don Tomkalski said today that the next step is preliminary telephone interviews with candidates.

Tulsa is looking for a successor to Bill Self, who took the head coaching job at Illinois on Friday.

MacLeod won't say exactly how many candidates are on the list or identify them. She says they're at that stage where it's very confidential to be fair to the candidates and their schools. '

MacLeod says no interviews have been scheduled.
