(Atlanta-AP) - No jail time for Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis. The football star has been sentenced to a year's probation under Georgia's first offender act. He had pleaded guilty in an Atlanta courtroom to a misdemeanor count in a deal with prosecutors at his murder trial. Under the agreement, murder charges against Lewis in the stabbing deaths of two men outside a Super Bowl party last January were dropped. As part of the deal, Lewis will testify against his co-defendants in the case. He's expected to take the stand Tuesday. His attorney says "It's a good day for Ray." He says his client's only crime was to tell his companions after the brawl to keep their mouths shut. He also gave an incomplete statement to police.
