(Okmulgee-AP) -- The musical chair beneath Okmulgee County's sheriff has changed again.
County commissioners yesterday named Undersheriff Ernest Arochato the sheriff's job, effective June first. Arocha will be the county's third sheriff in less than one year.
Arocha will replace Paul Lindemann. Lindemann is resigning after just seven months on the job.
Lindemann was sworn in in October and replaced Audie Cole. Cole quit one month earlier to become police chief in Henryetta.
Cole had succeeded Dayle James, who announced his resignation in March 1999. Arocha has been with the sheriff's department for almost eight years. He was appointed undersheriff in February.
